I am a licensed physician and board certified psychiatrist who specializes in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. I specialize in delivery of cognitive behavioral therapy, a time-limited treatment that has been shown to be highly effective in several research studies for treating depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and substance abuse disorders. Response rates have been shown to be up to 70-80% and usually occur within the first few months of treatment. I also perform comprehensive evaluations for medication and prescribe only when it is indicated.

I see children and adults, and have special training in evaluating/treating conditions that appear in childhood such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning disabilities, autism, mood disorders (depression, bipolar disorder), anxiety disorders (generalized anxiety, separation anxiety, panic, obsessive compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder), eating disorders, alcohol/drug abuse, and delinquency/conduct problems. I am currently on the clinical teaching staff at UCLA and also serve as the Mental Health Services Director for Behavioral Health Services, Inc.
